Affordable Dentures

Amazing Dental - Advanced Dentistry

Everyone wants a smile that will last a lifetime, but that lasting smile isn’t always solely comprised of our natural teeth. As we get older, endure dental trauma, or suffer the effects of periodontal disease or tooth decay, some people end up losing teeth. Dr. Budhani at Amazing Dental offers many kinds of tooth replacement options, but when you’ve lost or are losing all or a large majority of your teeth, affordable dentures at Amazing Dental are a great option for replacing numerous teeth and entire arches.

If you’re looking for affordable dentures in Arlington, you’ve come to the right place. Dr. Budhani and the entire staff at Amazing Dental are devoted to providing unparalleled patient care utilizing the latest advancements in dental technology.

How Affordable Dentures Work at Amazing Dental

Dentures can either replace all of your teeth or some of your teeth. If you are having all of your teeth (the entire arch) replaced, you will get complete dentures, and if you are only replacing some of your teeth, you will receive partial dentures.

  • Complete dentures: Complete dentures replace all of the teeth on your upper or lower jaw and rest on the gums. Dr. Budhani secures these dentures by attaching them to one or more tooth roots, called an overdenture, or to implants, called an implant overdenture.
  • Partial dentures: As the name suggests, partial dentures replace only some of your teeth. Therefore, Dr. Budhani secures partial dentures by attaching them to surrounding teeth.

Kinds of Dentures Offered

  • Conventional dentures: Conventional dentures replace all of your missing teeth on your upper or lower jaw and rest on the gums.
  • Conventional overdentures: Conventional overdentures replace all of your missing teeth on your upper or lower jaw and rest on the gums; however, unlike conventional dentures, the roots of one or more teeth support the apparatus.
  • Implant overdentures: Like conventional overdentures, this apparatus is secured in place. However, Dr. Budhani secures implant overdentures with dental implants.
  • Conventional partial dentures: Conventional partial dentures replace some of your teeth. Clasps that wrap around the surrounding teeth  secure your dentures in place.
  • Precision & semi-precision partial dentures: This apparatus is secured in place with mechanical components that are called attachments.

Since each patient is different, Dr. Budhani will work closely with you to determine the best kind of affordable dentures for you specifically. Speaking with Dr. Budhani about your oral health, functionality, and aesthetic concerns will help him give you the best suggestion for you and your lifestyle.

What to Expect During the Process

After determining the best type of dentures for you, there are a number of things that Dr. Budhani will need to do to prepare you for your dentures. Some of the procedures that may take place before you receive your customized dentures are:

  • Dr. Budhani may need to extract any remaining unhealthy teeth
  • For implant-supported dentures, Dr. Budhani will surgically place your dentures. You can learn more about dental implants here.
  • Dr. Budhani will take impressions or molds of your mouth that he will use when he designs your affordable dentures
  • Dr. Budhani will adjust your affordable dentures to ensure that they fit comfortably and appropriately.

If you are having implants, you will need to wait for your jaw to heal before your dentures can be completed and placed.

What to Expect After You Have Your Affordable Dentures

Once Dr. Budhani secures and adjusts your affordable dentures, you will likely undergo an adjustment period before you are used to your new dentures.

Some things patients often feel after getting their dentures:

  • Minor changes in speech
  • A “full” feeling in the mouth or face
  • Changes in chewing ability

To minimize the discomfort or the time it takes to adjust, there are a few things you can do to help yourself adjust more easily. Some suggestions are:

  • Take small bites of food at first and avoid biting with your front teeth
  • Begin chewing soft foods, and as you get more comfortable, you can increase the firmness of your food
  • Use a small amount of adhesive to secure your dentures in place
  • Speak slowly and put an emphasis on clear enunciation while you are getting used to talking
  • Continue practicing your speech. It will feel natural eventually

Getting used to your dentures can be a frustrating process, but eventually you will be able to eat and speak the way you did before. If you have any questions or concerns about your dentures, call Dr. Budhani.

Restoring your smile is possible! If you’re ready to take the next step and replace your missing teeth with affordable dentures, call Dr. Budhani today at (817) 484-5588 or request an appointment online.

Dental Bridge

Amazing Dental - Advanced Dentistry

Don’t settle for hiding your smile because of a missing tooth. When you have a missing tooth, replacing the tooth is not only important for your self-confidence, but it’s also important for your overall oral health. At Amazing Dental, Dr. Budhani offers many tooth replacement options, and if you’re missing one or more teeth, a dental bridge may be a great option for you.

Here, we’re committed to providing excellent patient care and staying at the forefront of dental advancements. When it comes to replacing missing teeth, Dr. Budhani offers superior advanced dental care.

Why You Should Replace Missing Teeth

Missing teeth can cause serious problems for your overall oral health because it leaves a space open for your other teeth to move, which can have harmful effects on the surrounding bone and soft tissue. Some reason that you should replace missing teeth are:

  • When your teeth begin to move, it can cause changes in your bite that can lead to pain
  • A missing tooth decreases your ability to effectively chew your food
  • A missing tooth can lead to bone loss in your jaw where the tooth should be
  • Consequently, bone loss leads to a change in the way your facial muscles are supported, and the appearance of your face will also change
  • When your teeth move, it can lead to issues like periodontal disease and decay

What is a Dental Bridge

At Amazing Dental, Dr. Budhani offers many tooth replacement options, and one of the options he is proud to offer is a dental bridge. Dental bridges utilize the teeth surrounding your missing tooth so that they act as anchors to hold your prosthetic tooth, pontic, in place. After the pontic is placed, porcelain crowns will be placed on the teeth on either side of the pontic and atop the pontic itself.

Types of Dental Bridges

There are two main types of bridges that we offer at Amazing Dental: a fixed bridge and an implant-supported bridge.

  • Fixed bridge: A fixed bridge is a bridge that utilizes the supporting teeth to stay in place. The pontic will be placed where the missing tooth is, and Dr. Budhani will put crowns over the surrounding teeth and the pontic.
  • Implant-supported bridge: An implant-supported bridge is stabilized utilizing a dental implant. To learn more about the benefits of dental implants, click here.

What to Expect

Getting a bridge takes at least two visits. Once you and Dr. Budhani have decided that a dental bridge is the right tooth replacement option for you, he will begin by preparing the surrounding teeth for crowns. This means that some of the tooth enamel will be worn down to make room for the crown. Following the preparation of your teeth, he will take an impression of all of your teeth so that your bridge and custom crowns can be made to fit your bite. After the impression is taken, Dr. Budhani will fit you with a temporary bridge to wear while the lab is making your customized bridge.

During your second visit, Dr. Budhani will remove your temporary bridge and make sure that your custom bridge fits properly and comfortably. Your bridge will likely need to be adjusted a few times. Once you are happy with the fit, your bridge will be cemented in place.

Replacing missing teeth with a dental bridge not only restores your smile but helps ensure your long-term oral health. To schedule your appointment with one of Arlington’s leading dentists, Dr. Budhani, call us today at (817) 484-5588 or request an appointment online.

Root Canal Therapy

Amazing Dental - Advanced Dentistry

At Amazing Dental, we practice a patient-first philosophy, and we understand that getting a root canal can cause many patients to experience anxiety and fear. However, while root canal therapy has received a bad reputation, it really is a procedure that can save your natural tooth and give you back your quality of life.

Being in constant pain because of your tooth can really take a toll on your overall wellbeing. This straightforward endodontic procedure will, in essence, cleans out the root of your tooth to prevent further infection, alleviating your pain and protecting the remaining tooth structure.

Why You May Need a Root Canal

A root canal is a necessary procedure when the pulp of your tooth becomes infected. An infection deep enough to affect the pulp is generally caused by a deep cavity or a crack in your tooth. This infection, aside from oftentimes being very painful, can be dangerous and put the surrounding jaw and soft tissues at risk of infection.

Symptoms of infection:

  • Severe tooth pain
  • Tooth pain that wakes you up at night
  • Swollen gums surrounding an infected tooth
  • Tooth discoloration
  • Highly sensitive teeth

If you think your tooth may be infected, it is best to see Dr. Budhani to ensure that you get the appropriate care you need.

What Happens During Root Canal Treatment

Before your root canal therapy, Dr. Budhani will numb your tooth completely so that you will not feel pain. After Dr. Budhani completely numbs the area, he will drill a small hole in the crown of your tooth to gain access to the pulp and the root canals. From there, he will thoroughly clean out all of the infected tissue and remove the pulp, cleaning the entirety of the canals. He will then shape and fill the canals and use a filling to seal the tooth. Once Dr. Budhani seals your tooth, you will be fitted with a temporary crown while a permanent one is made for you in the lab.

We understand that this procedure often causes patients a great deal of anxiety, if you are anxious about the procedure, Dr. Budhani will administer Nitrous Oxide. Providing high-quality, compassionate dental care is our primary goal at Amazing Dental.

What to Expect After Treatment

The goal of root canal treatment is to save your natural tooth. Fortunately, root canal therapy has a very high success rate, and teeth saved with this treatment often last a lifetime.

At Amazing Dental, we are devoted to giving you a pain-free, life-long smile. If you’ve been experiencing severe tooth pain and want to know how a root canal can help save your tooth, call Dr. Budhani today at (817) 484-5588 or request an appointment online.

Dental Implants

Amazing Dental - Arlington TX Dental Implants

If you’re looking for Dental Implants in Arlington, Texas, you’ve come to the right place.

Suffering tooth loss can be not only physically frustrating but emotionally taxing. If you’re suffering from missing teeth, you don’t have to settle for the discomfort or the appearance of missing teeth. Dental implants offer you a long-lasting, reliable treatment that will give you a smile you’ll love.

It is increasingly common that people choose implants as the replacement option not only for single missing tooth but also for entire rows of teeth. In some instances, if you are missing all of your teeth, implants can give you a natural-looking, long-lasting smile as an alternative to dentures.

What Are Dental Implants?

The implants Dr. Budhani uses at Amazing Dental are titanium posts that are surgically implanted into your jawbone. Then, he will attach an abutment to the implant in order to stabilize the crown, or replacement tooth.

At Amazing Dental, we take pride in giving you a smile you’ll want to show off. Because the implant fuses to your jawbone during a process called osteointegration, your implant will last a lifetime and preserve the surrounding jawbone and facial tissue, giving you a lasting smile that looks and feels natural.

What Kinds of Dental Implants Are Available?

At Amazing Dental, there are three types of implants that are available to you. After a consultation, you and Dr. Budhani will be able to decide which type of implant is best for you depending on your own personal needs.

  • Root-form implant: This is the most common type of implant. In this procedure, the implant itself is shaped like the root of a tooth.
  • Plate-form implant: If your jaw is particularly narrow, Dr. Budhani may recommend a plate-form implant since it has a flatter, longer shape than a root-form implant.
  • Subperiosteal implant: If you have already experienced bone loss or simply don’t have enough bone to support a root- or plate-form implant, Dr. Budhani will likely suggest a subperiosteal implant because it attached onto the bone as opposed to into the bone. That is, sits on top of your jawbone and beneath your gum.

What Types of Prosthesis Are Available?

  • Single prosthesis: Dr. Budhani will recommend a single implant if you are missing one tooth. A single crown, will be designed specifically for you in the lab to ensure that it matches and blends in with the rest of your teeth.
  • Implant-supported bridge: An implant-supported bridge is a great option for people looking to replace multiple teeth.
  • All-on-4 and All-on-6: If you are missing all of your teeth and need to replace a whole arch, Dr. Budhani can use the All-on-4 or All-on-6 method. This can be used as a permanent, fixed substitute for dentures.
  • Implant-retained dentures: Unlike all-on-4 implants, implant-retained dentures are removable dentures that attach to the implants. Since the dentures attach to the implants for stability, you get a more natural appearance and feel than you would with traditional dentures.

Why Should You Choose Dental Implants?

Regardless of how many teeth you are missing, implants offer you a lasting alternative that gives you the freedom to live your life the way you want to live it. They are the closest thing to your natural teeth, and they’ll give you the comfort and confidence you need to smile with ease.

Benefits of Implants:

  • Natural appearance
  • Stability
  • Long-lasting
  • Preserve jawbone and prevent bone loss
  • Extremely comfortable
  • Don’t require preparation of surrounding teeth
  • Freedom to eat what you want and talk without concern

Who is a Candidate for Dental Implants?

Assuming that you are in good health and are committed to your oral health, you are likely a candidate for implants. Although there is a surgical component, most people are candidates for this life-changing treatment.

Dental Implants as a Replacement for Dentures?

For some people, dental implants can be a replacement for dentures, giving patients a more comfortable and natural-looking smile. With new, innovative technology, we can replace entire rows of teeth with as few as four implants.

If you’ve been struggling with dentures and are considering implants, ask Dr. Budhani at Amazing Dental about how implants can change your life. Because implants are stable and permanent, they won’t risk falling out, and you can enjoy tasting food again. Take back your life and re-gain your confidence.

At Amazing Dental, we are committed to our patients and pride ourselves on offering you the high-quality dental care that you deserve. Invisalign aligners are made of a special polyurethane plastic that is specifically designed to gently and precisely move your teeth, giving you the smile you’ve always dreamed of.

What Invisalign Treats

Hiding your smile can cause severe emotional and social distress. However, the reasons you’re hiding your smile may also be causing severe physical stress on your teeth and surrounding jaw structure. Misaligned, crooked, or gapped teeth can put pressure on your surrounding teeth, potentially damaging to your teeth. Furthermore, if these issues are causing problems with your bite, it can impair your ability to speak and chew, and overcrowding can lead to periodontal disease. Additionally, the pressure and stress on your oral tissues can cause chronic headaches, jaw pain, and neckaches.

Common conditions treated:

  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Overcrowding
  • Gapped teeth
  • Deep bite

At Amazing Dental, Dr. Budhani is proud to offer the cutting-edge technology that will restore your smile, give you back your confidence, and support your long-term oral and overall health.

Virtually anyone is a candidate for Invisalign treatment; however, it takes a great deal of diligence and commitment to ensure that treatment is effective. As a result of this, this treatment may not be for everyone. Furthermore, severe cases that require substantial orthodontic work may be better suited to traditional braces.

In recent years, developments have been made to the aligners that make them a desirable and viable treatment for teens as well as adults by accounting for new teeth and molars. Really, anyone who wants a straighter smile without the appearance of traditional braces is a candidate for this innovative treatment.

If you’re unsure about whether or not Invisalign is right for you, ask Dr. Budhani during your next exam. Your best smile yet is right around the corner.

How Invisalign Works

Once you and Dr. Budhani decide that Invisalign is right for you, he will take an impression of your teeth and have aligners custom made for you. The SmartTrack technology is specially engineered to gently and constantly move your teeth—it can even rotate your teeth. Your aligners will need to be worn roughly 22 hours a day 7 days a week to be effective, but when worn properly, they will move your teeth into the desired position quickly and comfortably.

Each set of aligners will be designed specifically to move certain teeth. Therefore, you may not feel even pressure on all of your teeth throughout the entire course of your treatment. Rather, you will likely feel pressure in varying spots with each aligner change.

What to Expect

Treatment generally lasts between 9 and 12 months depending on your specific case. Every two weeks, you will discard your aligners and use the next set provided to you by Dr. Budhani. Every 4-6 weeks, you will be asked to visit Dr. Budhani to ensure that your treatment is progressing in the manner that it should be.

To reduce the chance of tooth decay and gum disease, you should brush and floss your teeth between meals and clean your aligners daily.

If you’re looking for a discreet, quick alternative to traditional braces, you’ve found it.

Dental Inlays and Onlays

Amazing Dental - Cosmetic Dentistry

Dental inlays and onlays are a more conservative approach to tooth restoration than full crowns. Dr. Budhani uses them to repair rear teeth that have mild to moderate tooth decay. Additionally, he will use inlays or onlays to repair cracked teeth where the damage does not warrant a dental crown. To create inlays and onlays, Dr. Budhani will use porcelain, composite resin, or gold. Inlays refer to those procedures where the bonded material limited to the center of the tooth, while onlays refer to those procedures where the bonded material can extend further to one or more cusps of the tooth.

What are the Benefits of Inlays and Onlays?

  • Natural look: Inlays and onlays have a natural tooth color that makes them virtually invisible compared to metal fillings.
  • Great fit: Inlays and onlys will not expand or contract based on temperature like metal fillings.
  • Longevity: Inlays and onlays can last up to thirty years, longer than any other type of filling.
  • Minimal tooth structure removed:Inlays and onlays require the minimal removal of a tooth’s surface, helping to preserve the maximum amount of healthy tooth structure while restoring decayed or damaged areas.

What  to Expect During Your Procedure

Typically, two visits are required for the placements of inlays and onlays. In the first visit, Dr. Budhani will take an impression of your tooth and send it to a lab to create the permanent inlay or onlay. Before you leave, he will fit your tooth with a temporary inlay / onlay to keep the tooth protected between visits. During your second visit, the dentist will remove the temporary protective material and fit your tooth with the permanent inlay or onlay received from the lab.

Dental Bonding

Amazing Dental - Cosmetic Dentistry

Everyone wants a smile that they’re proud of. But, chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth can damage your confidence in your smile. At Amazing Dental, we are devoted to giving you a smile you’ll love showing off. If chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth are getting in the way of your smile, dental bonding may be just the solution you’ve been looking for.

Visit Dr. Budhani, one of Arlington’s leading cosmetic dentists, to restore your smile and regain your confidence.

What is Dental Bonding

Bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure wherein Dr. Budhani uses a tooth-colored bonding material to restore a tooth or multiple teeth. Additionally, Dr. Budhani uses dental bonding, sometimes also called direct veneers or composite resin veneers, for a variety of aesthetic purposes, including as an alternative to amalgam fillings.

What Bonding Is Used For

Bonding can fix many oral health and cosmetic concerns such as:

  • Gapped teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Discolored teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Cracked teeth

How Bonding Works

During your procedure, Dr. Budhani uses a composite resin bonding material that he applies directly to the surface of your tooth. Dr. Budhani can change the shape, size, and overall appearance of your teeth with bonding because the resin material is sculpted directly onto your teeth in real-time.

Bonding as an Alternative to Veneers

While this is a cost-effective alternative to porcelain veneers or crowns, it typically doesn’t last as long and it is not as stain-resistant. Furthermore, because bonding doesn’t last as long as traditional porcelain veneers, it is generally reserved for minor repairs as opposed to multiple teeth with substantial corrections.

While bonding is the desirable choice for many people with minor cosmetic concerns, it is not necessarily the right choice for everyone, and during your consultation with Dr. Budhani, he will give you personalized advise based on your oral health needs and cosmetic concerns.

What to Expect

This procedure is typically a same-day treatment, and it requires minimal tooth preparation, meaning that more of your natural tooth structure remains in-tact.

Before Dr. Budhani applies the bonding material to your teeth, he will take care to match the color of the resin to your surrounding teeth. After you and Dr. Budhani choose the appropriate color, he will prepare your tooth by roughening the surface and applying a liquid conditioner to the your tooth. Once Dr. Budhani finishes repairing your tooth, he will apply the composite resin directly to your tooth.

After you and Dr. Budhani applies the bonding material, he will cure the resin using a high-intensity light, bonding the material to your tooth. After the bonding material has hardened, Dr. Budhani will polish the composite resin, giving you natural-looking smile in just one visit.

Are you ready to smile with confidence and love your smile? If you want to learn more about how dental bonding can give you the smile you’ve always dreamed of, call Amazing Dental’s Dr. Budhani today at (817) 484-5588.

Veneers

Amazing Dental - Cosmetic Dentistry

When you have a smile you’re proud of, you feel like you can take on the world. However, when you have a smile you’re hiding, it can cause severe emotional distress. We understand how important it is to love your smile. You don’t have to settle for hiding or hating your smile. Dr. Budhani at Amazing Dental offers dental veneers to give you a smile that you won’t want to hide from the world.

What Are Dental Veneers

Veneers are thin shells that are affixed to the front of your teeth to improve the appearance of your teeth. They can change the size, shape, or color of your teeth, and they can even reduce or eliminate the appearance of small gaps between your teeth.

They are a great way to get the beautiful smile you’ve always dreamed of. Hiding your smile doesn’t have to be a part of your daily routine.

What Veneers Are Used For

  • Gapped teeth
  • Uneven teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Discolored or stained teeth
  • Chipped or broken teeth

Kinds of Veneers Available

At Amazing Dental, Dr. Budhani offers two types of veneers: porcelain and composite resin veneers.

  • Porcelain: These are made of a durable, stain-resistant material that is commonly used. The porcelain gives your veneers a very natural-looking appearance. Because of the durability of porcelain, these will generally last a long time and they don’t stain as easily as tooth enamel. Porcelain veneers do not require as much preparation of the tooth as other types, meaning that you will get to keep more of your existing tooth structure. However, these are made specifically for you in the lab, so getting porcelain veneers requires two office visits.
  • Composite resin: Composite resin veneers, unlike porcelain, are not made in a lab but are instead applied directly to the surface of your tooth. The composite resin is a tooth-colored bonding material that Dr. Budhani applies to your teeth with minimal tooth preparation. While this is a cost-effective alternative to porcelain, it typically doesn’t last as long. To learn more about it, visit our bonding page.

What To Expect

Getting porcelain veneers takes two visits to Dr. Budhani. During your first visit, he will prepare your teeth by thinning the enamel so that he can effectively bond the veneers to your teeth. Following the tooth preparation, Dr. Budhani will take an impression of your teeth so that the lab will custom-make your veneers. Depending on how much of the tooth structure was removed, you will be fitted with temporary veneers before you leave your first appointment.

During your second appointment, Dr. Budhani will remove your temporaries and check to make sure that they fit appropriately. Once they are perfectly adjusted to your smile, Dr. Budhani will permanently affix them to the surface of your tooth.

Applying composite resin veneers is typically a same-day treatment. Dr. Budhani will prepare your teeth and sculpt directly on your tooth. Once you and Dr. Budhani are satisfied with the appearance, it will be hardened using a high-intensity light. After all of your veneers have been applied and hardened, the composite resin will be polished, giving you natural-looking teeth in just one visit.

If you’re ready to learn more and show the world your radiant smile, call Dr. Budhani today at (817) 484-5588 or request an appointment online.
